Our Mission
To serve our clients and their beloved pets with care and compassion.

We are David and Gay Prokopetz, long term, Trail residents and animal lovers. Together we own and operate Stardust Pet Cremation in Trail, BC. Pets have always been a welcome part of our home. Our cats are mostly rescued litters. We both served as Trail SPCA president for a while back in the day. Our dogs became part of the mix when David retired from dentistry allowing time to walk and care for them. As with most pet owners, our animal friends are an integral part of the family. However, at some stage in life, you must say "Goodbye" to them. As experienced, pet owners, we know the journey well and have decided to serve others on the same path.
David
I, David, practiced dentistry in Trail, BC for 30 years and served for a while on the College of Dental Surgeons board. During that time, I developed sensitivity and support for clients in times of stress. I continue to offer these qualities today to pet owners and I find that the satisfaction and healing for my clients sustain my efforts.
Besides servicing the public and various veterinary clinics with pickups and pet cremation, I do enjoy motorcycling whenever I can find the time.
Gay
I, Gay, managed our dental practice for years and became an active Rotarian and a director for the 2006 BC Winter Games. Today, as then, I look after the home, enjoy gardening and care for our many family pets. I do all the packaging of cremains (animal ashes) as well as home office work involved with our crematory business.
